Pasi Rauhala: Type3 – On the Ruins of a New World

Type3 – On the Ruins of a New World is an audiovisual, interactive artwork created by artist Pasi Rauhala, which will take over the first floor of Malva.

The exhibition features elements from the worlds of video games. The whole experience takes visitors on an imaginative journey to a future society where every movement of people is monitored through technology, and nothing is as it seems.

Type3 reveals what the world might become if people give unlimited power to artificial intelligence, algorithms, and large technology companies. The exhibition utilizes AI, 3D animation, and game engines. The soundscape is created by composer Laura Naukkarinen (LauNau), and the story development has been done in collaboration with science fiction writer Emmi Itäranta, who specializes in future visions.
