Type3 – On the Ruins of a New World is a new kind of exhibition created by artist Pasi Rauhala. This audiovisual and interactive installation draws inspiration from the world of video games and takes visitors on an imaginative journey into the future.

In the exhibition visitors experience scenes from a future society governed by an artificial intelligence system called Type3. Nothing in this world is as it seems. Type3 reveals what the world might become if people give unlimited power to artificial intelligence, algorithms, and large technology companies.

The adventure unfolds across seven spaces, beginning in the apartment of the main character, Isaac. Visitors are invited on an adventure that gradually reveals itself, room by room, through the traces Isaac has left behind. Each space opens a new perspective on the story. Many rooms include interactive elements, allowing visitors to become part of the world controlled by the Type3 system.

The works combine artificial intelligence, 3D animation, game engines, and theatrical environments. The soundscape is composed by Laura Naukkarinen (Lau Nau), and the narrative was developed in collaboration with science fiction writer Emmi Itäranta.

Pasi Rauhala (b. 1978) is a media artist from Lahti whose work explores interactivity, spatial experience, and public space. His installations encourage audiences to engage and view their surroundings from new and unexpected perspectives.

Please note that some sections of the exhibition may feel intense or frightening; young children should be accompanied by an adult.
