Golden Goose – Nesting Area by Lahti-based artists Ihana Havo and Miss Kompro is an installation whose pieces are mounted on the façade of the Rajanen House at Rautatienkatu 18, on the lamppost in front of the building and on the street. The pieces on the façade and on the brightly painted lamppost – “a lookout post for the future” – consist of cast and painted goose nests, golden eggs and the geese themselves.
The cheerful and good-natured work references local small entrepreneurs who are testing their wings or have already taken off, laying precious golden eggs in our city. The installation also invites viewers to activate their imagination and sense of playfulness.
