Viljo Savikurki’s relief depicts a man sowing seeds from a container in his right hand. He is wearing boots and simple peasant clothes. A tribute to everyday toil, the work is realistic in style but sparse and frugal in its detailing. The down-to-earth style is in perfect harmony with the vernacular theme of the relief.
