The Spring Show presents a diverse range of art and design through the works of more than fifty students. The exhibition is spread over four spaces in Malva. It takes a stand on numerous themes, such as the formation of identity, personal experiences of humanity and current phenomena in society.

This year the central theme of the Spring Show is growth. The exhibition invites the viewer to become a part of the journey of growth and presents the works of the students in four different phases; Grounding, Spreading, Unfolding and Blooming. It leads the viewer from the soil towards the sun, reflecting the students’ process of forming their professional identity.

Growth begins from Grounding: under the surface of the earth, the point from which the journey towards professionalism in the creative field begins.
Through Spreading, knowledge is collected, and both mindset and skills develop. With Unfolding, the journey continues curiously, exploring new heights, and little by little, the readiness to rise from the ground and be seen is found.
Finally, the last phase, Blooming, comes: day by day, we reach closer to the sun, our self-confidence growing stronger – at the end of the journey, we flourish, and our own professional identity is strengthened.

LAB Institute of Design and Fine Arts Spring Show has been designed and built by the students. The exhibition is displayed 17.5–4.6. during the museum’s opening hours.
