Saturday of Play
Saturday of play will be celebrated at Malva on June 27 – we invite everyone to join us in the world of art and stories!
On Saturday, there will be activities in the museum throughout the day: you can explore and marvel at art, experience things together, create art in a workshop, and even meet a real art inspector!
At Malva you can ask questions, discuss, and let your emotions show – all emotions are welcome in the museum. Welcome to spend a shared museum day with us!
The program is free of charge, and visitors under 18 always have free entry to the museum. Adults can participate with a museum ticket or a Museum Card.
Program of the day
10.00–13.00 Museum Exploration
Art inspection tools and tasks are available to borrow, and you may also meet a real art inspector. Come and discover the wonders you can find in the museum.
12.00–15.00 Open Art Workshop
In the non-stop art workshop in the Kumma workshop space, you can create your own art inspection tool.
13.00–14.00 Experiential Guided Tour
In this guided tour, you will dive into Malva’s current temporary exhibitions through play and immersive experiences. The tour is suitable for everyone! Please note that the tour is in Finnish.
Easy museum visit with children
Getting around Malva is easy with children. All spaces are accessible with strollers. There are restrooms on every floor, and the museum has four baby care stations.
Malva is open on Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00. The event day is part of the Päheet Museot week program.
