Malva Celebrates Lahti Pride Week with an Audiovisual Performance

The Noin Seitsemän collective, together with DJ Metsähörhö and DJ Rojuchino, will create an open performance at Malva’s entrance on Päijänteenkatu.

The Noin Seitsemän collective create a video installation and live visuals on the light panels of Malva’s outer wall. DJs Metsähörhö and Rojuchino produce the soundscape for the performance. The best viewing and experiencing spots are from the opposite side of Päijänteenkatu or Kirkkopuisto.

The Noin Seitsemän collective’s performance is a queer tableau consisting of a video installation and VJ live visuals. The inspiration for the performance came from one of Finland’s most significant queer classics, Pirkko Saisio’s “Punainen erokirja” (The Red Divorce Book). The book’s powerful visual descriptions served as a starting point to address themes of identity searching through personal interpretations. The shared source material and the collective’s simultaneous working method bring layers and numerous shades to the performance, which intertwine on the screen into a single entity.

~7 (Noin Seitsemän) is a visual collective that came together about three years ago. When working together, the collective’s creative skills merge into a seamless swarm intelligence that guides the collective’s aesthetics and atmosphere from one extreme to another, creating curiosities and imaginative surprises. ~7 conjures a multidisciplinary playground wherever they go.

DJ Metsähörhö – The Mystical Creature of the Forest

Deep in the forest, where moss covers the paths and the starry sky whispers rhythms, DJ Metsähörhö’s music is born. No sticking to formulas, but a wild journey to the origins of electronic music. Every DJ Metsähörhö set is an experience: the call of the forest that sweeps the listener deep into a soundscape where styles blend together like mist in the early hours. This is not just music – this is a journey, a mystical ritual at the core of sound and movement. Whether at a dark forest party, under neon lights, or diving deep through headphones, DJ Metsähörhö brings something unpredictable, magical, and ever-changing.

DJ Rojuchino‘s rhythm sense and wide musical taste produce sets that bend brainwaves, crossing the boundaries of genres, space, and time. Combining old-school techno, body-spinning psytrance, fast-paced neuro, and everything else possible from this side and beyond, the end result is not to be missed.
