Klaus Haapaniemi brings a magical campsite of strange voyagers to Malva. The camp transports visitors to a peculiar and fascinating landscape of tents that are draped and lined with textiles designed by Haapaniemi. The tents conceal otherworldly glass sculptures – the mythical totems of the voyagers. Views of the cosmos open up around the camp and invite visitors to contemplate the universe and our place in it. Skilful handicrafts and immaterial media artworks create an exhibition not to be missed.

Klaus Haapaniemi (b. 1970, Helsinki) is one of Finland’s most well-known designers. Haapaniemi, a graduate of the Lahti Institute of Design, started the design company Klaus Haapaniemi & Co. together with Mia Wallenius in 2010. Haapaniemi is known for his Taika and Tanssi tableware designed for Iittala. In 2018, he was granted the State Prize for Design.
